Benjamin Belhumeur

Benjamin James Belhumeur, dancer and choreographer, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Ben attended pre-professional programs at La Roche College, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Point Park University.  Ben graduated with his Associates Degree in Dance and Dance Education from the Community College of Beaver County before graduating high school.  He then graduated from Point Park University with his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance.  Ben has had the privilege of working with companies such as The American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and the New York City Ballet.  At Point Park University, Ben performed works by renowned choreographers such as Doug Bentz, Kevin Iega Jeff, Garfield Lemonious, Ronald Tassone, Trey McIntyre, and Kassandra Taylor. He also performed in Kiesha Lalama’s Torque at the Jazz Dance World Congress.  Ben has taught in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
