Anthony Sugarmann

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Anthony began dancing when he was 17 years old. He joined a local Hip Hop program named Legacy Dance. He eventually became director of the program and, with his sister Talia, does all of the choreography for the competitive teams. From the success the teams have had with their choreography, Anthony and Talia have been asked by other teams all over the U.S. (Texas, Maryland, Kentucky & Pennsylvania) to do their choreography. Anthony’s involvement with Legacy Dance resulted in him working with and becoming very good friends with one of the industry’s top choreographers, Rhapsody James.

In 2012, Anthony’s passion for dance and his friendship with Rhapsody led to him moving to New York City. He spent 2 and a half years living in Brooklyn taking classes at Peridance Capezio Center & Broadway Dance Center. In August of 2014 Anthony moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his dance career. Within a couple months of living in LA he was signed to Go2 Talent Agency.

Over the past 3 years Anthony has trained with, assisted and been mentored by House dance pioneer Sekou Heru (Dance Fusion NYC Crew).   In addition to House, Anthony is also trained in Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Breaking and has trained very closely with King Charles in Chicago Footwork.

Anthony believes that there is always room to grow and it is important to always be a student. His goal is to share his passion with others and to pass on everything he has learned.
