I didn’t create my account online. Can I register at the studio?

Absolutely! New students can create an account and purchase classes at the studio prior to their first class.  Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your class start time and check in at the Front Desk.

Where is the studio located in South Side?

Our studio is located on the corner of East Carson Street and 25th Street, approximately two blocks from the Cheesecake Factory in the SouthSide Works Complex.  We are directly across the street from State Farm and just a few doors up from Over the Bar Bicycle Cafe (one of our favorite lunch and dinner spots!).  Find us on Google Maps by entering our full address: 2504 E. Is there parking at the studio?

We have a small parking lot for clients on the side of our building (on 25th Street), but plan to arrive early since most of these spots fill up fast.  If no spaces are available, street parking is available and is free after 6:00 p.m.  Payment for street parking can be made at any kiosk along the street or through the Go Mobile PGH app.  There are also several parking garages within walking distance of the studio.

How early should I arrive for my first class?

First-time students should arrive approximately 15 minutes before their class starts.  When you arrive, please check-in at the Front Desk and a studio representative will show you around and direct you to the correct studio for your class.  If you need to change into your dance attire, there are three restroom facilities available to students.

I have a Student ID. Can I purchase my class online and get the college student discount?

Unfortunately, no.  In order to get the college student discount, you must present your valid college student ID at the Front Desk at time of purchase.  If you are purchasing a class card, you will be able to sign in online for future classes once the class card has been assigned to your client account.

Can I pay with cash at the studio?

Sure can!  We accept the following forms of payment at the studio: cash, credit/debit card, and check made payable to MDCP.  If you are paying with a credit/debit card or check, please bring your photo ID.

What should I wear for class?

We recommend that our students wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows them to move freely and without restriction.  Leggings, tank tops, t-shirts, sweatpants, joggers, and gym shorts are all very common in class. Leotards and tights are not required for our ballet classes.  Long hair should be secured away from the face and jewelry should be removed prior to the start of class.

Do I need to wear shoes for class?

For most of our classes, students can take the class barefoot.  For hip hop classes, a clean, dry sneaker or other type of supportive footwear is required.  For tap classes, tap shoes are required.  Keep in mind that street shoes are not permitted inside the studio.  This is to help prevent damage to our dance floors and to maintain a safe environment for our students.

What’s the age range of students in your classes?

As a drop-in studio, our classes are geared toward adult students.  With that said, our classes are open to dancers, age 10 and up, unless otherwise listed.  Students must be at least 16 years old to attend classes labeled “Basic Adult” or “Burlesque”.  For youth enrollment class schedules and information, please visit the “Youth + Teen Enrollment” page on our website.

I’ve never danced before. Can I still take a class?

You sure can! We offer classes for students at all levels and pride ourselves on making each and every student feel comfortable during class.  If this is your first dance class, we recommend trying a class labeled Basic Adult or Beginner.

Will there be other new students in class?

Yes, and our classes are designed so that new students can jump in at any time.  Plus, our staff and instructors are always prepared to welcome new students and help them get acclimated to our studio. We can’t wait to see you soon!

Should I bring anything with me to class?

We recommend that students bring bottled water (no glass bottles) and the proper attire/footwear for the class they are attending.  If you are taking a conditioning or yoga class, please bring a yoga mat, or you may use one provided by the studio.  There are cubbies in each lobby area and inside the studios for storing your belongings during class.

Are there discounts or rewards available to regular students?

We love our clients and as a thank you for your continued support of our studio, we offer a reward program that allows our clients to earn points on certain purchases and referrals.  Points can then be redeemed for special discounts and complimentary classes.  For more information, please speak to one of our staff members at the Front Desk.

How do I download and use the Mindbody app?

To download the Mindbody app and take advantage of convenient class sign in, simply search “Mindbody” in the app store.  After downloading, create your app account using the same email address that you used when you created your Millennium Dance Complex Pittsburgh account.  Please note that your email address must match in order for your purchases and studio account information to sync to the app.  Finally, be sure to save MDCP to your Favorites.

How do I view the class schedule for a particular day?

You can view the daily class schedule by visiting or by downloading the Mindbody app and saving Millennium Dance Complex Pittsburgh to your Favorites.  Our class schedule and instructors may change from week to week, so we recommend that you look at the online schedule before heading to the studio.

If I registered for a class but am unable to attend, what should I do?

We understand that things come up and plans change.  If you signed in to class but are unable to attend, you can cancel yourself out of the class through the Mindbody app.  It is studio policy that we do not offer refunds for missed classes, but we will put the unused class pass back on your account for future use.
