The Certificate Program at Millennium Pittsburgh is an independent-study program open to all dancers who are seeking a structured class schedule that will help them reach their individual training goals. Dancers in this program will enjoy structure through a customized class schedule and will have constant access to an MDCP staff advisor for continuous evaluation and guidance. Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion to signify that you have met the training requirements designated by Millennium Pittsburgh.
Not only does this program provide its dancers with a challenging yet flexible class schedule, but also provides the opportunity to train in a positive, supportive, team-oriented environment with other dedicated dancers who share the same goals and passion for dance. Whether your goal is to pursue dance professionally, become an educator, or perfect your technical ability for opportunities ahead, the MDCCP can help you get there.
“The certificate program at Millennium Pittsburgh was the best journey for me as a person and a dancer. It allowed me to take classes of all different styles. The program challenged me to train in dance styles outside of my comfort zone. Millennium’s faculty was very supportive and made a personal connection with me. Their choreography is next to none. I have grown so much in confidence and technique. This program put the perfect amount of pressure on me to complete the requirements by the deadline. My time there was always enjoyable and I highly recommend it to those inspired by dance.”

What to Expect
During your first week of the program you will meet with Kim, our Program Coordinator, who will guide you through selecting your weekly class schedule. At this time we will discuss and analyze your dance experience, desires, and goals and develop a course of training that will maximize your experience here at Millennium PGH.
Your Program Coordinator will communicate with you to re-evaluate your schedule at this time. Some classes may be removed and replaced by others, making the adjustments based on your experience during Week One.
During this week, your Program Coordinator will finalize your dance plan and lock in your 3 Core Instructors. Core Instructors will remain the same for most of your program, depending on the length of time you are dancing with us. Private lessons/evaluations will be scheduled with one of these instructors.
Enjoy your dance plan and your private lesson/evaluation with one of your Core Instructors!
Continue to check in with your Program Coordinator to discuss your progress, curriculum and any challenges you may be facing.

You will communicate with your Program Coordinator to schedule your final evaluation session to evaluate your progress during your time as a Certificate Program student.
